The Indianapolis Airport Police Department was founded in 1971. Our primary responsibilities are general law enforcement duties, as well as, to ensure the safety and security of the Indianapolis International Airport and its associated reliever airports. We also enforce state and local laws on all areas that fall under the jurisdiction of the Indianapolis Airport Authority, which includes areas in Marion, Hamilton, Hendricks, and Morgan counties.

Our department is located underneath the A Concourse of the main terminal building. We are not accessable from inside the terminal, but you can drive to the department via South Service Road. This is the road that runs directly south of the airport's main inbound drive (Colonel H. Weir Cook Memorial Drive South).
