New airport set to open October 28

With a new main entrance off I-70 via Exit 68 to Airport Terminal Drive, the new Indianapolis International Airport will feature streamlined check-in and security screening facilities, moving sidewalks, and other passenger conveniences. Construction on the $1.1 billion project will be mostly complete by the end of July. It features a variety of stunning artwork, like eye-catching glass murals, mosaics, and terrazzo flooring.

Northwest launches e-boarding pass program in Indianapolis

Summer air travel: Indianapolis passengers fare better than others

Vacationers departing from Indianapolis International will enjoy some of the nation's lowest airfares. And unlike airports in Cincinnati, Chicago, Louisville, Toledo, and Detroit, the number of available seats on domestic flights in Indianapolis has grown by nearly four percent, according to a May 30 USA Today article.

Board meeting schedule

The Indianapolis Airport Authority Board of Directors meets twice monthly (dates are subject to change) at 8:30 a.m. in the Board Room on the second floor of the terminal's administration building. Remaining 2008 meeting dates are posted online.
